Patron of Poor/Homeless/Abandoned

As a young man, Luigi, joined the Franciscans in Italy but became very ill and had to return home. Luigi was cured of his health problems at St. John Bosco's funeral and was ordained as a priest in 1895. During his life, he founded several institutions for the poor, homeless, and abandoned, including the Sons of Divine Providence, the Hermits of Divine Providence, and the Ladies of Divine Providence. Copper is typically combined to improve the metal’s hardness and durability without compromising the quality and look of the silver.Sterling Silver medal are marked with a quality stamp to ensure the content of the silver. Federal law mandates that the quality stamp must include the maker’s mark. You will find either “Sterling Bliss” or “Sterling BLI” on the back of our medals – both acceptable quality marks.

Gold Filled

Our 14 Karat Gold is composed of 58.3 percent pure gold and is ideal for fine jewelry. Other alloys, such as copper, are mixed in with the gold to give more of a red warm hue. This also give the metal strength. Since gold is a natural element, it is very durable. We do recommend removing the jewelry if it may come in contact with chemicals. To clean gold jewelry, use warm water and detergent free soap and a soft brush.

Does my medal come with a lifetime guarantee?

Yes, all our products are covered by a lifetime guarantee against any manufactures defect or tarnishing. Warranties are void If item Is not in its original state as purchased I.e been repaired, resized arm worked on.

What size medal should I order?

Large medals (1” or larger) are usually intended for men or women who do like to wear larger medal.
Medium size medals (approximately ¾”) are most common for women or children 7 years or older. Some men also prefer the medium medals.
Small medals (charm size) are great for bracelets or for small children (UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION). Ladies that want a dainty medal to compliment another medal on the same chain or to accompany another necklace may prefer the small/charm size medals.

How to care for your precious medal

To clean your jewelry, use warm water and detergent free soap and a soft brush or cloth. Do not use jewelry cleaner because this will damage the medal. Our medals are sprayed with a lacquer coating to protect the finish and prevent tarnishing. Also, avoid exposing the medals to household cleaners or chlorinated water.
